Our Mission
Spruce Up Warrenton is an all-volunteer community-based action organization.
Our mission is to develop and promote revitalization and beautification within the context of cultural and historic preservation of downtown Warrenton and the District of Hammond. All projects are based on grants and donations from the community. Our philosophy and vision are to enhance downtown for the current businesses and residents including businesses and residents yet to come. We strive to bring the community together to build consensus, volunteer, invest, partner and add resources to the revitalization efforts. We work with existing and potential businesses, property owners and partners to strengthen and grow the local economic base.
Our History
Spruce Up Warrenton was founded through a community engagement process hosted by Rural Development Initiatives. These conversations started in 2018, but the organization did not receive its nonprofit status until late 2019.
