GRANTS

We believe in building a better Warrenton—together. That’s why we’re always on the lookout for grants, funding programs, and community development opportunities that can support our town’s growth, vitality, and charm. Spruce Up Warrenton regularly tracks available grants for things like:

  • Downtown revitalization and historic preservation
  • Small business support and entrepreneurship
  • Public art and placemaking
  • Beautification and infrastructure improvements
  • Community events and tourism development

We share opportunities with local business owners, nonprofits, and community groups who are ready to make a positive impact. Whether you're thinking about restoring a building, launching a new venture, or hosting an event downtown, we want to help connect you with the resources to make it happen.

Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant Winner

Outpost Warrenton Awarded in Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant

We’re thrilled to share that Outpost Warrenton; a planned community hub in the historic Fenton Grocery building—has been awarded a $400,000 matching grant through the Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant program.

What the Grant Means for Our Community

This grant, part of a statewide investment of more than $10.6 million awarded in 2025, supports projects that boost private investment, preserve historic structures, and energize downtowns. For Outpost Warrenton, this funding unlocks key renovations planned for our downtown space.

  • Revitalizing Fenton Grocery Building
With approximately $2.5 million needed for the full project, this grant brings us over the halfway mark—offering significant leverage on top of support from Warrenton’s Urban Renewal program and local investments.
  • Creating a Vibrant “Third Place”
The Outpost will include a coffee shop, children’s play studio, artisan micro-enterprises on the ground floor, plus residential units upstairs—fostering both community connection and downtown vitality.

Why It Matters

  • Historic Preservation with Purpose
Reviving a cherished downtown building aligns perfectly with the Main Street program’s goal of preserving our heritage while supporting local economic growth
  • Community-Centered Development
The grant makes it feasible for local entrepreneurs—like Jess Sollaccio and her team—to invest in the Outpost without needing deep-pocketed developers. This ensures the project remains firmly rooted in Warrenton values.
  • Catalyst for More Downtown Investment
By activating this underused space, Outpost Warrenton sets a strong example for other businesses, helping attract further investment and boosting downtown foot traffic and vitality.

We’re immensely proud to have shared in the application process via Spruce Up Warrenton’s Economic Vitality Committee. Stay tuned—we’ll share updates on milestones, design plans, and how you can get involved as Outpost Warrenton comes to life.
